On Mar. 17, 2014, Dallas County was the first county in Texas to implement TechShare.Prosecutor. This year, Mar. 17, 2015 marked the county’s one-year anniversary since Go-Live. To thank the implementation team for their commitment to the project, Ellyce Lindberg, Assistant District Attorney, Dallas County, and LaFayne McCall, Applications Specialist, surprised them with a TechShare.Prosecutor Go-Live celebration, complete with a screen print of the system on a cake!

Since Go-Live:

  • 66,394 cases have been created
  • 416,814 pieces of digital multimedia evidence (DME) have been uploaded
  • 10,374 tasks have been created
  • 20,815 felonies have been True Billed by the Grand Jury
  • 34,928 misdemeanors Filed

Here’s what some of the Dallas County users had to say about the system since Go-Live…

Grand Jury Session “I can prepare for a Grand Jury session in under three hours using TechShare.Prosecutor. It took me eight hours before.” (Grand Jury Attorney)

Search Functionality “By utilizing the tagging functionality in TechShare.Prosecutor, I can locate my entire caseload electronically in seconds…” (Criminal Investigator)

Redaction “The redaction process has been reduced from 30 to 45 minutes to 30 to 45 seconds.” (Justice Systems Architect)

TechShare.Prosecutor began in 2012 as a collaboration between Dallas, Midland, Tarrant, and Travis counties to build a county-owned prosecutor case management system in order to facilitate the business activities of the County and District Attorney offices.

Midland County went live on TechShare.Prosecutor in September 2014. Tarrant County is expected to go live at the end of June 2015. An implementation date is still being determined for Travis County.

In March 2014, Potter County Commissioners Court voted to join in collaboration with the other counties to implement the TechShare.Prosecutor system. Before a Go-Live date can be determined, the team in Austin is taking a trip to Amarillo, TX at the end of April to kick-off implementation activities.
